A member of the community recently inspired us to socialize some of the things we are involved in (thanks Matthew Raudenbush ).
Earlier this year, we teamed up with others to raise over $20k for PPE for front line health workers.
More recently, we have started to donate prepared WPFB meals & foods to the Flemington Area Food Pantry. Their mission is to “improve access to healthy foods or good health and to prevent overweight/obesity.” This fully aligns with what Nourished by Nadia stands for. It makes us happy to be sharing meals that are healthy and delicious, and that are plant-based, oil-free, vegan, and gluten-free to our community.
When we deliver your meal, if you would like to donate a can or packaged item to the food pantry, leave it outside of your door, and we’ll collect it and personally drop off the donations each week. I know we all have those items that we forget about, and aren’t using anytime soon. It’s a great opportunity to give those items to someone who can truly use it right now.
The food pantry publishes a monthly list of suggested donations: http://flemingtonfoodpantry.org/help-us
We’d love to hear about some of the community efforts and causes you are passionate about, to help inspire us and others to do even more. Please feel free to share your thoughts!
